just got news that Perfect10 98.7 is playing Broken Wings - Night Mix now. I hope they play it more often..so, everyone! call in & request them to play it!
was walking back to the train station after a meeting at the studio last night with kenny, neil, sabrina & kalvert. suddenly, this car started honking at me from the sides & i could see someone waving at me. i thought it might be someone i knew but just gave an obligatory smile & walked on since i was rushing. the car stopped for a moment & continued honking as if to signal me to go over. i was curious as to whom it may be so i went.
with the car window wound down, there was this bespectacled middle-aged guy who looked like he could be some kids' dad & this was wat transpired:
[b]man: eh, you look very familiar ah. have i seen you somewhere before?
me: er..no. i dun think so sir.
man: oh, you're from the sauna just up above right?
me: no sir, i don't work there. *shudders off in desperation*[/b]
knn...i can't believe i got picked up at amoy street by some decent looking middle-aged GUY looking for a 'good time'. wtf sia...i know i look gay to some people but this is ridiculous. y can't i get picked up by some hot chick at zouk?? instead, i get this.
whatever happened to that first love? the one that set your heart aflutter? has he/she completely disappeared from your life or are the two of you still 'friends'? ever wondered the possibility of a re-occurance? would it ever be the same? would you regret going down the same doomed path? will you be able to smile like before?
what has happened to your first love then? how is life going for them? are they seeing someone else? is he/she still single? would you ever considering contacting her/him? can you brave yourself enough to make that first move? what would you say? what would you do? how would you react?
has anyone noticed that all the 'wan wan' commercials from taiwan r damn bloody irritating? the acting from both the kids & adults r damn OTT, & their tag lines r damn lame sia. wah kao, their commercials make me grimace with a huge 'bleah' aftertaste.
anyway, all is fine at the moment. busy with work. gonna be working on mixing some bands, as well as a short film. hope that all turns out good.
ooh, we've just confirmed one major gig coming up in the next couple of months. the entire band is really stoked abt this one. i'm getting dizzy just thinking abt it! haha..in due time...u'll know wat i mean. ;)
finally sent in my applications for byron bay. they're now in the midst of processing my forms. hope all's good & i confirm my placing there soon. i should be gone for a year. hopefully longer lah, provided i can find a job there. will i miss this place? perhaps. the people, not really. the friends, most definitely.
& till now, i still can't digest the fact that i'm gonna be teaching a class full of kids come july. wah kaoz, "good morning 'cher".

yesterday was homestudio's first anniversary party. there was food, beer & wine going round & lots of good company. was really happy to see neil, wayne & joshua having a good time & just revelling in it all. played a short acoustic set with steve & eric. did mainly some new songs. kinda rusty after having not gigged in a while though..hehe...but all in all, good vibe lah. the MI guys did their own acoustic set as well & there was denise & chris, a jazz duo from harry's bar that did their own show-stopping set of jazz numbers. damn power lah.
rushed down to some place near shaw towers to check out this event called 'rojak' http://post.fm/rojak/. it was pretty...well....rojak. it was held at this dude's apartment which was at ground level & they had this projector showcasing images & stuff with a dj(case woo i think) spinning by the window. wine & drinks was going around & there were lots of ppl abt. pity i went late & missed out practically everything! met up with tiffany while i was there & we headed down with some of her friends to devil's bar.
had a very good time catching up with tiff over a couple of drinks(i still think i suck at playing those drinking games). shall keep wat transponded between us both private but yah, it was great to hang out with her. later on, went down to harry's bar at orcherd towers to find the rest of the survivors of the homestudio party. think quite a number of 'em got wasted & i missed denise & chris' 2nd set! wah liew...~
rain started pouring down as i got into a cab back home. made me think abt alot of things.
does anyone have a bootleg recording of the YMCA gig? wanna listen to the 'rain rain go away' song that concave scream played & I've been reading abt on so many sites/blogs. buay tahan lah...all i have is a clip of one of their songs from http://www.gigvideos.com
