help me out here. my friends & i have been thinking abt this whole theory of girls liking 'bad' guys. as the saying goes in chinese, 'nan ren bu huai, nu ren bu ai'(lit. trans:if he ain't bad, he ain't good).
why is it so? kenny's friend came up with the idea that its been built into our instincts. for example, take a bunch of bulls, lock em all up together & let em go at each other. eventually, the strongest bull will emerge the victor & the cow(female bull right?) will choose to mate with the strongest bull, so as to produce better & stronger offspring & not some half-fuck cannot make it bull, its only natural.
so, in the context of human instincts, girls would rather choose to be with a 'bad guy', or in our case, the 'alpha male', cuz maybe he'll offer the girl a better sense of protection & assurance. perhaps its the appeal of a guy who dares to break the rules, who dares to do watever he says. the type of confidence he exudes may seem alluring to a girl. but then again, wat abt the rest of us?
my friends & i would like to believe, thought we may not be like an alpha male, we're generally still NICE GUYS(that's like a death note). we dun steal, kill or do anything unruly. heck, we even say thank you to the auntie who cleans up our plates at coffeeshops everytime. but does being a nice, sensitive guy turn girls off these days? perhaps, its out of fashion, passe even? how would u categorize guys like us even, the so-called 'beta males'?
another interesting theory would be that of kinostatics. for example, a simple touch may be all that's required for a girl(preferably someone whom u're comfortable with) to determine whether or not you're either boyfriend material, or simply-just-a-friend material. let's say 2 of u r sitting at a cafe or pub chatting away, enjoying each other's company. the guy happens to maybe brush his hand against the girl's arm or shoulder(or vice versa, girl vs guy). from that one simple touch, she can prob derive whether or not the relationship between the both of u remains purely platonic, or there may be room for further development.
intriguing. i feel that there's some truth behind it.
'sorry, but i think its best we remain just as friends'
something alot of us would have prob heard before time & time again.
wassup with singaporeans? knn... eric's wallet just got stolen a couple of days ago..& just now, k2's handphone got stolen as well at the coffeeshop. we had only left our table for less than a minute before he realised & ran back to find that it was already stolen. tried calling his phone & the fucker already switched it off..
to the motherfuckers who stole my friends' belongings, ur hands will rot to the core.
we'll be appearing on channelnewsAsia tomorrow(7th Aug & 8th Aug) on the program called "The Singapore I Want". not sure exactly which day but the show starts at 8.30pm. we did the interview a couple of weeks back so hope the edit turns out good.
if i'm not wrong, there's a repeat telecast on national day itself at around 3.30 i think...
we've been thrashed upside down on some girl's blog i found. she says our song(broken wings-night mix) sucks, my singing sucks, the instrumentation sucks, basically everything about us sucks. its like we're some joke of singapore music when she heard it on radio.
