every first sunday of the month in singapore, you have the change of guard ceremony at the istana. here in byron bay, we have....
THE SUNDAY MARKET!!
overview of the market. bloody scorchingly hot day though...burnt my feet a little cuz i applied sun lotion everywhere 'cept my feet(wearing slippers lah).
very nice woodwork..but rather costly as well.
this dude's from kyoto(japan), playing the shamisen to the crowd. he must be melting in his garb...~
sauces anyone?
more handmade wood craft. very nice.
some outdoor entertainment to sit back & relax to. think i heard an oasis cover somewhere in there...
something you'll never get back in singapore. a hot babe selling ya sugarcane juice. hur hur.
tri-shaw rider anyone?
he suffers for his art. haiz...
pretty funny guy..doing a fire-juggling act. seems he's been at this for years..
the byron lighthouse. extremely great view of the ocean from here. saw a couple of dolphins as well.
sorry lah. i just found the quote too funny to not capture it.
australia was one of the last few places i'd ever expect to eat durians...but yah, i just had durians a few minutes ago. courtesy of one senior student from KL studying here..nice guy lah..he's the student prefect here..so its all cool. damn surprised when he offered me a plate full of durians...never tasted so good..haha..but honestly, it really tastes quite good. he said he got them at the local supermarket here..should check it out next time..
got a few assignments to finish in the next coming weeks. one comparitive article report due before christmast, a personal web-site early next jan & one practical assignment involving a radio jingle & a full 5.1 surround sound mix a few weeks later. yah, its interesting..starting to get packed as well. my major research project will probably drain every single ounce of life from my body..but i guess it comes with the territory. honours degree wat.
campus life is alright i guess. there're the occasional bimbos that simply irritate the hell outta me with the way they talk & the things they talk about so i'll just leave it as that. classmates are generally a pretty mixed bunch. we've got ppl from austria, slovania, france, america, australia(of course) & india. they're mostly pretty cool....though i must say there are some that are starting to exhuberate some form of 'showing off' attitude in class. we'll see in the next few weeks.
yah, i miss everyone back home. family, friends. seems that there're quite a number of major things i've been missing out...be it good or bad things. just hope everyone's coping well. miss u guys...
